Through Their Eyes

A first-hand account of October 7. A story of survival, resilience, and rebuilding.

About the Exhibition
On October 7, 2023…

…over 3,000 Hamas terrorists launched an unprecedented and coordinated attack against Israeli cities and communities near the Gaza border. One of the hardest-hit was Kibbutz Kfar Azza, where 64 residents were murdered, 18 were abducted, and many homes were burned and ransacked. But Kfar Azza’s story is just one of many tragedies from that day.

“Through Their Eyes” is a self-guided exhibition that tells the story of October 7 through the real voices of Kfar Azza’s residents—those who lived it, those who were lost, and those now rebuilding their lives. The exhibition uses photographs, personal stories, real-time messages, and reconstructed moments from that day.

The exhibition reveals the devastating toll of terror, the heroes who rise up in the face of such tragedy, and the quiet strength of those determined to carry on. Sharing their stories and testimony is one of the most important ways to prevent tragedies like this from ever repeating.
